I was looking for a new apartment recently,and one afternoon I went to see one not so far away from where I live now. I remember it so vividly,I entered the apartment and was almost dazzled by the light reflected from the floor tiles.

What You Will Need For Cleaning Tiles
I have to admit that I was genuinely stunned when he told me what the requirements were
1. A Spray Bottle: you can pick these up from your local supermarket.
2. Microfibre Mop: These mops are excellent for collecting the smallest dirt particles.
3. White Vinegar: White vinegar is very acidic and is the secret to a deep clean.

4. Water: It’s not good to spray pure vinegar onto your tiles; it is better to dilute the mixture by adding an equal amount of water to vinegar.
5. Plastic Funnel: This (optional) item will assist in pouring the mixture into the spray. You can manage without it,but it makes life simple.
(If you are also going to clean the grout,then you will also need a pencil eraser: baking soda,and an old toothbrush.)
Now we come to the method – it is nothing complicated,and that is what makes this such an excellent way of cleaning the tiles. It is just six simple steps.
Shining Floor Tiles,One Step At A Time
Step 1: Sweep And Vacuum To Remove The Debris
The first thing you need to do is sweep and vacuum the entire surface of the floor. You do not want to leave any debris laying on the surface. No special equipment is required just a regular broom and household vacuum cleaner. Be very sure you remove all the dirt.
Step 2: Mix The Vinegar And The Water
Mix the white vinegar and water in a small bowl. Diluting the vinegar reduces the acidic effect and will also weaken the smell of the vinegar,which can be a little overpowering while you are cleaning,but will soon disappear
Step 3: Pour The Vinegar And Water Mixture Into A Spray Bottle
Unscrew the top of the spray and pour the diluted vinegar into the spray bottle. Once you have filled the spray bottle,screw the cap back on,and you are ready to go.
Step 4: Spray The Vinegar And Water Mixture On Your Tile Floors And Mop It Up
Spray the mixture,generously and evenly,onto the floor tiles and then use the mop to rub it on the tiles and then to mop it up and remove the excess. If the room is very big,it may be better to spray half the floor and mop it,and then do the other half,so that the mixture does not dry before it is wiped. Make sure you clean the mop between sections.
If the floor is very dirty,you may need to apply more than one treatment,making sure the mop is thoroughly washed between each round.
Step 5: Check For Areas That Are Stained Or Extra Dirty
Suppose there are smaller areas where the tiles are stained or particularly dirty. Lightly scrubbing them with a soft brush while applying the mixture will help. Clean that area afterward with a clean cloth to pick up any grime particles that have been loosened.
Step 6: Cleaning Tile Grout (Optional)
Every so often,it will be necessary to clean the grout as this can get dirty over time and need more than mopping with the diluted vinegar. Do not worry; it is not difficult. You will need a pencil eraser,baking soda,and an old toothbrush.
For lightly stained grout all you probably will require is the pencil eraser. Just rub the grout with the eraser,and it will make a big difference,whitening the grout. If the stains are more ingrained,then use the baking soda with an old toothbrush which you wet with the mixture and lightly scrub the grout.
Conclusion
I ended up taking the apartment,and I used his methods for cleaning the tiles which look just as good today. I avoid the expense of buying specialist cleaning chemicals,and I have the added knowledge that I am helping the environment. Try this yourself; you will be pleasantly surprised.
